7 Tips to Prevent Neck Pain

Neck pain is the second complaint at work after back pain. Almost everyone has experienced neck pain. The good news is that 70-80% of neck pain heals itself within a few hours or days. Here are some tips to prevent neck pain that you can consider to be done.
1. Avoid sleeping pills
When you sleep, your body changes constantly to find a comfortable position. Sedatives reduce the ability to adjust to this, so that your body does not move as much as they should. As a result, you may be in a position to press the neck in a long time so woke up with neck ache.
2. Select the proper sleeping position
Sleeping face down can cause you to rotate the neck for hours on end so that little stretch neck joints. Over time this can lead to permanent damage. Use a pillow that supports the natural contours of your neck. Pillows that are suitable for each person can vary depending on the size of the head, long neck and sleep position. Ideally, you sleep to face the right and use a pillow that fit perfectly with the end of shoulder and the beginning of the neck.
3. Work interspersed with rest
If you work all day with the computer, stop working for a few minutes every two hours. Staring at a computer screen all day to provide a large amount of pressure on your neck. Use the break to take a walk or stretch. This action can also relieve tension in the mind that formed throughout the day.
4. Perform stretching exercises
You can perform simple exercises to reduce muscle strain at your neck. Sit up straight and punch your head forward so your chin touches your chest. Slowly turn the head to the left. See as far as you can, as if you’re trying to look directly above your head. Restore your chin to your chest, and then turn your head to the right. Once again, look as far as possible. Perform repeated three times each time you feel tension in your neck.
5. Adjust desk
Your desk can cause pain in the neck. Tables have to adjust with you and not vice versa. If too low, look for ways to raise it or adjust the seat height so that your work is more aligned with the eye. Do not lean forward all day. If you have to lean forward, sustain with your hips, not with your back or neck.
6. Adjust the steer position
When you spend hours on the road, you should not neglect your neck. Customize your car seat so you can see the steering wheel comfortably and not have to thrust your neck forward to see the road clearly. In addition, you will need to adjust the headrest so that your neck does not jerk forward if you stop suddenly.
7. Always keep the posture
You should always sit and stand with proper posture, your back should be flat, head up and into the stomach. Maintain good posture for the neck joint in a position in the middle so as to prevent sprains.
